Quick report
Went up from Paradise via Manama Ridge to Cowlitz Rocks summit. One skier, one snowshoer. Felt warmer than expected but light wind helped keep snow cool. All morning had refrozen crust especially in shaded areas but also in sunny ones. Travel was easy, zero boot penetration. Observed old wet loose and some old wind(?) slabs. Did not observe any avalanche activity today. Some styrofoam snow near summit (7400'). Skied well. By 14:00, at 6500', snow started getting a bit wetter and grabby. Ski penetration became about 5cm. Snowshoer was wallowing in snow. Clear and sunny all day. Clouds approaching from afar in the west in the afternoon.
