Quick report

Travelled up to twin lakes Saturday into Sunday. Saw wet loose activity beginning late on Saturday afternoon. Experienced a warming between 6 to 10am Sunday with light rain up to at least 5200’ and likely beyond. Decided not to travel above the lakes but witnessed the debris from many natural D1 and D2 wet loose avalanches on steep open slopes on all aspects between 5200’ and 4000’. Snow was tough to get moving on ski cuts but on steep slopes when the snow began to run it entrained significant amounts of heavy snow and ran far.

Avalanche

Widespread loose wet avalanche activity on steep open slopes between 4000’-5200’ ranging from D1 to D2 in size. Triggered naturally, from tree bombs and ski cuts.
