Quick report

Cracking
isolated

The little 10-30 foot lip above pan face was wind loaded. Partner was digging a tunnel through the new snow when it cracked above us but we were on the shelf and it slid a few feet and stopped. It knocked partner off his feet but he wasnt buried. Lost a pole. The vis was so harrowing all day and the wind blowing we just weren’t really thinking that much about it after carefully picking our way up pan face and doing slope tests there. On the descent there was cracking and small slabs moving around.
