Observations of weak snow pack while skinning up the ridge to Tiffany MT. At 7000 we started observing audible whumpfing and shifting under foot. After digging a pit we found a weak layer approximately 2 feet down with a prominent ice layer and faceted snow. When doing the column test it sheered when taped from the elbow at the ice layer previously mentioned. The overall snow depth at 7000 feet was approximately 120 cm.
