Quick Observation

Found 10-15 cm of dry snow at Treeline on sheltered north aspects, staying cool despite rising ambient temperature. HST overlies the Jan 16 MFcr which is 10cm thick, and very supportive. Skiing was fast and fun, mostly staying above the crust. We found no slab properties in areas travelled, and minimal wind affect observed. Even in the sun, temps seemed a bit underwhelming compared to what the weather models were calling for.

Avalanche Information

Several loose dry debris sz. 1 from steep open south facing terrain at 1500m.
