Quick Observation
While skinning towards the south face of Nak, we battled strong winds coming from the east. We skied some mellow slopes in the trees after encountering instability when skinning on wind-affected slopes around 1650 meters in elevation. We observed shooting cracks and remotely triggered a small slide on a wind-affected convex roll (included the picture, triggered from the point in the picture). A significant amount of snow was being transported by the east winds. Our skin track was nonexistent after 30 minutes in wind-affected areas. When we got back to the car, it was -3°C and snowing heavily! Overall, great skiing on wind-sheltered slopes!
