Gem Backside Ridge ECT

Dug an ECT pit on the top of the ridge above the run-out, north-east aspect. Snow depth was 180cm and had visible and tactile crust layers at about 30cm and 80cm. The column failed on the bottom/December facet layer on the 27th from the shoulder. We skied basically everything on the ridge including steeps and convexities and only slough was produced. Saw a bit of slab slide away at the end of the day at about 230pm, the day was warming.
