We had an awesome tour up Mt Beadnell today on sleds and found cold, dry, low density powder all the way to just below ridgetop. At ridgetop, moderate to strong north winds were actively redistributing loose snow to lee slopes in a reverse loading pattern. This had led to some small natural avalanche activity in the hours before our arrival. We saw one crown and quite a bit of loose debris on steeper leeward slopes. With the mix of wind and variable, wind-affected snow in exposed areas, we gave the alpine a pass after taking a look and had a blast shredding sheltered powder.
