Onions have layers

Layers of wind slab exist at the surface so we stayed in the tree line and wow was the riding epic in the sheltered meadows at the Onion today. We saw intense wind transport occurring at ridgetop so we avoided wind loaded slopes. We had poor visibility for most of the day which limited our observations but we saw no new avalanches.
