Quick Observation
Skied up the col and along Buzz’s N and West to East. Sunny in the morning but became more overcast as the day went on. Calm, virtually no wind. Warm. The snow is very supportive and crusty but would accept a ski edge which made travel quite efficient. This was true on all aspects and elevations traveled in the morning. We could push a pole grip through to softer snow beneath in some spots but this took effort. Other spots it was too firm. The surface is quite textured. Solar aspects softened by noon, but not everywhere. The slope needed to be steeper and facing the sun or be at a lower elevation. Had a few good corn laps down Buzz’s S.
