We observed a large crown under Ymir peak, possibly a day old as well as shooting cracks under our feet up to 1m in length. We entered into a very variable wind affected west Ymir bowl. Riding was not great. Opted to exit through lone pine where we found the storm slab to be very touchy especially around any convex slopes. First rider took a ride in size 1 slab avalanche into the short chute on lone pine, and second rider released a size 1 into the chute upon entry. Everyone was ok but it definitely spooked us and would have called the conditions considerable to high in this specific area. New snow is not bonding well to old layers.
