-
This dragon isn't going anywhere, anytime soon and I'm hyper-aware of its fickle presence and dangerous personality.

Saturday's west and northwest winds had no problem blowing low density snow around, forming very predictable soft slabs on the leeward side of ridges. Problem is... yesterday's slabs rest on Thursday nights storm, especially in the windzone, where fresh drifts can break wider and deeper than you might expect.

Wanted to step out a little bit, but not dive into the waters head first. Bypassed the mini golf and started with some chip 'n putt and moderate steep skiing, which delivered a most excellent day on the eastern front. An eleven on a scale of ten, without tugging on the avalanche dragons tail.
