Climbed up the ridge leading to the Upper Bosworth Weather Station. Very high winds along the ridge, enough to knock you over (had to plant myself at times with my axe and lay down to not be pushed down the slope). The weather station showed max winds around 45km/h today and I believe that for the area directly around the station where I found loose dry snow. 10m away from the station was a totally different story. Winds were reverse loading, breaking pieces of the cornice off and throwing them back over the ridge, interesting sight to see! Not so fun when getting hit by chucks of cornice though. The other big story was the well developed suncups on the west aspect which have clear ice in them and are rather deep for such a pitch to be skied. The lower half of the slope had a surface facetted windslap which provided much better skiing. The lower tree skiing was excellent, I should have just lapped that all day.
