Fraser Chutes

45 cms of light density snow from this weeks storm are sitting on top of last weeks wind slab. Probing at 1300 m (open area at treeline, SE aspect) we found 185-200 cms of snow. We did not observe any avalanches today, nor did we observe any cracking or whumpfing. Above treeline, on the SE aspect we were skiing, there was notably less storm snow (20 cms) and the wind slab below the storm snow felt a bit icy. Today was calm, cloudy, with no precipitation
