Mount Chester via Chester Lake

Convex of slope very weak skiers turned around mid way up ascent of the headwall. Many layers of weakness, fresh snow on top layer. Tread with care above treeline.

Many weak layers first 20 cms down, followed by 3 more layers. All skiers stopped part-way up slope to yoyo the line. All concerned with the convex.
