pleasant early season tour up east peak saturday morning. summer was good for the alders out of the black forest parking lot, but things get a little better above 1900m. Eastern ridgeline was cruisy ~20cm of pow on top of a denser crust. Above/at treeline things became more wind affected and we opted not to drop in from the rocky/crusty summit. Down laps had good coverage on the south aspect, enough for some nice pow slashes but still clipped a few sharks. The incoming snow sunday/during the week should go a long way
