Skied from 2800 m to 1700 m today in Lake Louise area. 0 degrees when we started. Found thin sun crusts up to 2800 in anything remotely sun exposed, and super thick variable crusts from 2400 m down to the road. Was back at the car by 2 pm and the lower elevation stuff really hadn’t softened up. Flurries for a couple hours and sun poked out after we skied in a ping pong ball.
Still lots of good skiing on north facing shots. All of 4 people sharing a lesser known spot.
