Healy Pass

Took the skis out for a hike to Healy pass. Around 2200-2300m HS was 22-30cm, crust down 15-18cm near base of snowpack provides some protection from sharks, but there's still plenty out there. Lower snowpack beginning to facet around the crusts. We found coverage was best in open trees on lee aspects, kept to easy turns on mellow slopes to avoid rocks, spotted a few small sz 1 cornice slides near Healy pass peak. Didn't put skis on until 2200m due to low snow.
