North Face Athabasca

25 cms light unconsolidated snow on top of a partially supportive crust up to below the face building to 50cm and deeper trenching crossing the bergschrund. Very little ice at the lip of the crux pitch, none on the lower rock gully. We descended the Ramp route. No slab encountered, good stability. Probably great ski conditions if you carry skis to the glacier, just enough snow to cover the scree made for awkward footing getting there.
