A thin, 20cm deep slab50 m wide may have been triggered by a sluff from steep terrain above and likely failed on the mid December drought layer. This slab stepped down another 40 or 50 cm likely failing on facets over the November 27 crust. This ran about 70 m over before falling over a cliff and triggering a small slab below. This is the first real avalanche seen for weeks in this region north of the Saskatchewan River Crossing.
