An awesome day at Silver Sands (clear and -10C), we discovered some untouched stuff in the upper meadows. There were a couple notable layers in the snowpack. About 40 cm down we found a decomposing surface hoar layer, that seems to be breaking down and bonding (CTM 15/19). Deeper down at 65cm there is a melt/freeze layer with faceting that reacted in the hard range (CTH 20/26). Otherwise, plenty of fun down low!
