Skied the SE face of Mt Whymper this morning, dropping in at about noon. Weather was partly cloudy, light to moderate winds. The upper face skied really well, snow was firm but chalky and good for steep skiing. Lower down was nice corn. We approached via the Whymper north col but ascended from the south side. No instabilities were noted throughout the day. A couple of hard ski cuts on the upper face yielded just minor sluffing.
