Quick Observation

Quick pit in the West Bullmoose today at 1600m. Heavily wind affected, with exposed slopes often scoured to ground, and Lee slopes significantly drifted. HS in pit in sheltered NW aspect area was 170 cm. Top 120 or so cm was layers of wind slabs and new snow. Multiple layers down 3, 10, 13, 30, 55, and 70. ECT tests propagated in the hard range, at ECT25 down 30 cm on a wind slab, and ECT30 down 55 on another wind slab, both were full propagation but resistant. No evidence of a crust or any rain in top 120 cm of snowpack, just firm drifted slabs.
