Quick Observation

Good day out around needle. Skied the north and south bowls. South bowl had a semi-breakable crust and was wind affected which made for difficult skiing. The north bowl was much better and had some soft snow, but it was getting heavy. The warm weather has turned much of the snow up to about 1500m into cement. There does not seem to be enough coverage in the trees to really send, but you can certainly travel on it. Did not venture over towards flatiron but it looked pretty wind scoured.

Snowpack

CTE RP down 5. This was the breakable crust layer found in the south bowl CTM RP down 40 on facets. We were cautious of this from the forecast and did find it in our compression test. We did not see anything happen on southern aspects but noticed some shooting cracks on the skin track in the north bowl.
