Purple People Eaters

Skied a quick lap of Purple Knob. Skin track is a highway to the top. Didn’t have ski crampons but would have made the steeper kick turns a little less spicy. The highway to the top is indicative of the ski quality on the other side. Essentially shredded, particularly to the first choke. Needs a refresh. Down lower is a combination of super shallow snowpack, ice crust and minor dust on top. Best turns of the day were in the larch meadow at the bottom. Tons of folks headed to hero’s. Area needs snow
