A nice start

A nice day up Video and out 8812. 15-20cms of HS in the parking lot allows for a reasonably easy ingress and egress. Above the treeline we found HS ranging from 40cms to 140cms, depending on distribution. No signs of any weakness in the snowpack. Positive pole probing in many areas, and typical hollow weakness around rocks. Steep solar aspects were warming in the sun and producing roller balls and very small sluffs. SH Sz 3-5 observed windspread in the ALP. Without good visibility riding in the alpine would be a bit desperate due to rocks and variable distribution of HS.
