Didn’t notice any signs of instability on the way up, what looked like one little loose sluff on a steep slope under some cliffs, but it was not the best visibility
Intermittent periods of light snow and foggy patches
1st pit I dug the depth was 257cm, with a hard crust at 220cm, soft snow above crust and sugary crystals below 205cm and down got significantly harder. Slope was 28deg. 2nd pit was also north facing, 35 deg, but the depth was 350cm with a crust around 260cm. I guess the extra snow must be from wind loading? Compression test on the second pit column crumbled apart at around 325cm on the 15th tap. I hit it 5 more times, the column continued to crumble until there was a block about 20cm at which point it slid smoothly off at 275cm
