Incident

Small size 1 avalanche triggered today, March 2nd on north facing slope of lower Mt Murray. Loose snow avalanche grabbed first skier by the ankles and buried him completely. Was able to get himself breathing room as his face was right on the surface and had one hand mobile. 2nd and 3rd skiers took precaution in approaching as to not cause more damage. Recovered skier and exited area smoothly. Snow felt sugary all day with less on the sun exposed slopes. No signs of whomping or other noticeable tells of unstableness. Slide went on a firm surface roughly 20 cm down. Some small mistakes made were going a little further than group felt comfortable into some higher windslab as well as not respecting the last few turns of the day after few issues with higher up turns.
