Forum Ridge

Forum ridge is heavily wind effected with wind loaded features holding over 1m of snow and scoured regions having 30cm or less. Snowpack is currently quite cohesive with compression tests yielding broken results on the layer down 40cm. Skiing was variable with mix of sastrugi and breakable crust on the surface. The shallow snowpack at lower elevations requires extreme caution as many stumps, trees and rocks are exposed again. Temperature inversion was weaker then forecast today and no pinwheeling or wet loose avalanches observed.
