Collecting early season data - Full profile @1600m, SE aspect open meadow HS 97cm, October Halloween crust down 60cm overlying facets (1.5-2mm) This layer produced moderate SC results on two compression tests - something to watch for sure. Upper snowpack well consolidated. Lower elevation much different, less than 20cm below 900m in this valley. Although storm was moving in as I was leaving today around 3pm.
