Wind board and willows mostly sums up our day. Most of the glades off the ridge need a lot more snow before they're ready. About 160cm below the ridge with a very thick crust down between 20-40cm. There is a thinner sun/wind crust on top that was breakable by skis. Pockets of powder sit on this crust in sheltered areas and thick wind board in exposed locations. No propagating cracks or drops on wind pockets. No snow movement. Widespread surface hoar in sheltered lower elevations. Saw a few older crowns on south/east aspects of Mt Charles. The photo does not accurately portray our day.
