Fun ski up high on a supportive crust. There is 10cm of dry snow on a 5cm crust then 10cm of wet snow between a second 5cm crust lower down and then consolidated snow to the ground. The first crust was breakable to a boot but the second was single boot supportive. We found 100cm of snow in the trees at 2000m. It was snowing lightly with light to calm easterly wind. We saw a large crown at the base of the headwall that connected over a km across the entire bowl. It looked to be a few days old. -2 at treeline and +6 at the parking lot. You can ski from the car.
