Storm snow on unupported rolls and convexities above 35 degrees was reactive in the early am and would fracture and run where the terrain shape allowed at the storm snow Interface. The steep feature accessing the upper meadows had failed naturally (see photo) and any small convex rolls in that area or in the trees above parking lot 3B would respond to ski cutting.

Snow conditions were: Heavy. Weather conditions were: Wet, Stormy, Warm. We rode: Mellow slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Steep slopes, Convex slopes. Riding quality was ok.

Avalache Conditions: Rapid temperature rise to near zero degrees or wet surface snow. Slab avalanches today or yesterday. Whumpfing or drum-like sounds or shooting cracks.
