On the skin up now signs of instability as we hit TL started to see the wind affected features. We dug a pit at 1940m on NNW aspect the pit built our confidence with the stability but still stayed away from convexities. We made it a fast day due to rise in temps by the time we got close to the base it was obvious that it was warming with tree bombs and heavy snow. Actually skicut a couple of convexities but only one sign of instability a sz0.5 20cm down slab.
Started the day warm for loop brook but was below freezing, at around 11:30 started noticing the ramps rising with tree bombs pin wheels and heavy snow. S-1 through out the day fresh snow on the trees but probably melted out now.
Looking for the Jan29 SH we found none. Down 63cm was a crust but the layer of interest was 94cm down. CTE 5 RP down 20cm slid on ppsd CTH29 RP down 94cm on a crust Surface snow was needles and graupel
