Mount Field

Skied Mount Field today. Several parties played nicely and managed hazard. Snow was wind affected and punchy in places, with mixtures of powder, breakable crust, firm crust, and Sastrugi. Snow at and below treeline was considerably better. Evidence of a recent substantial cornice failure and resulting slide off the connecting ridge with Wapta Mt. Nod signs of new instability today.
