Quick pit was dug on the west aspect of Black Mountain. Various layers present the the storm snow from the last week. Forgot the snow saw, but a rudimentary compression test produced CTE6 results at 25cm. Resistant. The random spikes in temp towards the end of the last storm has created a Styrofoam like crust that even though easy results in a compression test, is fairly self supported. Jumped a various pieces of terrain and only had isolated pockets of release on 40 deg and above terrain. No propagation.
