Planar on Mt Field

Compression test at 2200 m on MT Field. Results were 45 cm: CT12, planar 60 cm: CT 17, planar 70 cm: CT 22, planar The blocks that popped out were sufficiently cohesive to be picked up, see photo. Although they didn’t slide in the classic “register drawer” style, my judgement is a sudden planar failure. My group did not go any higher. Ride quality from 2200 to 1700m was very good.
