Avalanche Information
Saw several old natural avalanches from last weekend's storm and winds and triggered a Loose Dry avalanche that gouged to the ground becoming surprisingly big for the small terrain it was triggered in.
Weather
Moody morning with overcast sky, light snowfall (S1), and moderate westerly winds cleared to a calm, sunny, beautiful day.
Snowpack
A weak, faceted snowpack exists on all aspects. On south-facing slopes, well-developed facets are sandwiched in between melt-freeze crusts. On north-facing slopes, the snowpack is just composed of well-developed facets top to bottom, with the Christmas rain crust still present but almost entirely faceted.
