Coordinates

Quick Observation

Pretty solid day at Crystal that seemed to hold onto the inversion. -17 at the car to start and peaked at -2 at 2300m by 2 PM. Lots of wind affect and sun affect above TL, sun has had some punch on anything S or SW facing (see icicles on trees) and lots of new surface hoar forming up to 2400m. Had a big whump and crack at 2300 on a large rock outcrop in low angle. A bit spicy! Wind crust where anticipated after a week of SW winds. Trees skied the best, alpine was crusty except in N aspects

Weather

Tiny bits of blowing snow on Bow glacier and in alpine. Otherwise dead calm all day

Snowpack

ECTF23 @ 50 cm CTM13 @ 125 (facets on bottom, not sure if this area got a Nov 5 crust but couldn’t find through snowpack). This layer didn’t show any results for ECT
