Black Prince Area

Today we skied the BTL/TL elevation bands between 1800 - 2150m around the BP weather station. Trail breaking is extremely difficult with ski pen to knee/mid thigh depending on location. It took us 4hrs to cover 3.5km.. We encountered extensive cracking at TL (see photos). Ski quality was interesting... close to 100cm's of low density snow on top of facets made for difficult skiing. After a few turns on our planned ski run, we turned and headed back on our skin track. Seemed like too much risk for not much reward.
