Quick Observation
Skied Mount Rogers South Monday and I triggered about 15 cm of windslab off the col at the top of the south face that started a dry loose slide that resulted in a 200M vertical ride before escaping. The total slide was about 300M long. The bed surface was fortunately soft and no injuries or burial resulted. Other than that, the skiing was great above 2500, then variable and wind scoured below. Avy debris and ice chunks are quite hazardous now. And, leashes do break in slides, don't be afraid to use them.
