Emerald Hamilton

Skied drainage north of Emerald Peak eastwards (cliffs at valley bottom problematic, not recommended). Good snow above 2000m, hard crust below. Stability was good in the alpine with nothing noteworthy from skiing and a few hand shears. Large avalanches ran down most drainages, presumably a few days ago, some up to size 3-3.5. Calm winds with mix of sun and cloud, temp steady around -15 to -10.
