Isolated cracking and non/propagating slabs under skis while traveling. Small isolated wind slabs released while traveling down the leeward/north side of chair peak east ridge at 5250 feet, plus horrible visibility, led the group to decide to turn around and ski back down to source lake.
Avalanche
Chair peak basin near 5500 feet NE aspect: Dry/loose natural point release. Unknown depth. 4100 feet, SE aspect above source lake: wet slab pushed underneath skis. 4-6” depth, 5 feet wide.
