Quick report
I was hiking around the South Fork Snoqualmie River trails and happen to notice a very large, deep, and dangerous snow drift on the south facing ridge of Granite Mountain. I used all 300mm of my lens to capture this shot from the NF-9034 bridge. It lines up with the avalanche chutes from previous slides. What I noticed after looking on the map, the Granite Mountain Trail #1016 has many switchbacks right under this snow drift. I know this a popular trail, especially with Denny Creek presently closed, it could see more than normal hikers as the weather warms up. I don't know what can be done, perhaps signage at the trailhead of the dangers overhead. I just wanted to bring it to your attention. This is my first report, so I hope this observation report is what your team is looking for. Thanks for all that you do! -JCS
