Quick report

Below 7,500’ snow was frozen rock solid. As we gained elevation in tracked snow in the shade was loose and wintery. On aspects with sun there was a breakable crust on top of a few inches of loose snow that was on top of a thicker crust. But in the shade In wind protected areas we found the surface crust to be either very thin or non existent and the thick crust under the loose snow seems to be deteriorating in certain locations, however we did not explore which specific aspects that was happening on. Our ride still had a mixed bag of variable snow conditions, however the riding was better than expected. Even with warm temps, the shaded slopes seem like winter.
