New snow was about 2-3 feet. Snow was on the heavier side but still very soft. Was just finishing up a light dusting around 12:30pm today and starting to clear up with blue skies and sunshine. What I saw was my buddy drop a chute and set off a slide. He ski cut it prior to dropping but nothing happened. As soon as he dropped a big layer behind him slide and took him all the way to the bottom. He was only buried up to his head and could breathe but couldn’t move his body. We got down and got him out.
