Quick Observation

Spring riding conditions on a highly variable snowpack even at 4500+ ft of elevation the snowpack has undergone an isothermal cycle that is still lingering below the melt freeze breakable crust, challenging/technical riding conditions today as we rode several front range plateaus in the Wolverine- hope the cooling trend can lock up the snow again to restore some traction- no avalanches observed in the Spieker and Reesor and Albright zones- minimal precip and cloudy for most of the afternoon. the main them for the day was once you punched through the breakable melt freeze crust you would sink up to your waist in the unconsolidated snow
