Quick report
Sporadic coverage up to 7k', then increasing coverage, but less than 2' up to Elkhorn Peak. Used snowshoes with aggressive crampons up to 8.2k'. Used technical crampons and ice tool (for stability/self-arrest reasons) above that for ascent. Wore technical crampons back down to 7.6k' since snowpack was knife hard ice. Bailed on original goal of getting over to Rock Creek Butte due to high winds on ridge. Gusts were easily above 30mph.
