Small wind slabs on test slopes 6,000-7,000’ on SW thru SE aspects reactive to ski cutting, failing on interface of new snow (4-5”) and previous crust. Snow profile results on S/SW aspect (192 deg), 24 deg slope, 6950’, OVC S-1, M wind, 32 deg F: CT11 Q3 21cm down at new snow/ old snow interface. 3/24/24 1pm. ECTN15 21cm down. Total HS 150cm No sun breaks or significant warming occurred during our time in the field, which ended at 4pm. Steady moderate W/NW winds, overcast skies, and light snowfall throughout the day. Previous wet loose debris under new snow; no wet loose activity observed, no rollerballs. Observed blowing snow on ridges and open slopes, wind-textured snow, and scouring. Snowpack was 20cm to bare ground on exposed slopes. Low visibility required careful planning and evaluation.
