Quick report
Fresh snow of 6-12" on the previous layer down to 4000 feet and lower in open areas. Wet slides visible on all aspects of the peak. Many cornices had already collapsed and saw more + slabs on towers poised to fall. Holes forming over boulders and rock slopes. Saw a few small sluffs in the afternoon on steep rock slopes. Snow had very slushy quality in the later afternoon.
Avalanche
All aspects, wet slides and cornice failures. Appeared upon the new snow later but not when we were on the peak.
